♥ Her hearts lullaby

Pain doesn’t hurt, when it’s all you’ve ever felt,

And no she doesn’t…she doesn’t need help.

She’s in a sea of people, but she’s the odd one out,

Scream long profanities, the loud one in the crowd.

A kiss on the lips, and blood on her tongue,

A over dose of memories and under dose of love.

Cupids aim is shit, eye sights off, and arrows run out,

Love is dying, and husbands walking out.

A mistress in hotel sheets, and a wife at home,

Knowing what you’re doing, drinking all alone.

An empty heart, echoing the hollow lullabies,

Begging for some attention, can’t you hear its cries?

She sits on a swing, listening to her parents fights,

She hears them yelling, then dad disappears for the night.

Her insides are black, and her heart deteriorated,

This wasn’t how we thought it would be, it was anticipated.

“Mummy, daddy, it’s almost noon,

The end is near, it’s coming soon.

My heart is empty, but it plays lullabies,

My heart slows, and I close my eyes.

Confined to one room, it’s too white,

The colours drained, but still, too bright.

No notice of me, as the darkness floods.

This is my note, now signed in blood.”

Her blood turns clear, and her thoughts affar,

No more heartache, and no more scars.
